    • Terrestrial Antennas

Four ranges of terrestrial antennas are available: NEO (UHF), MX (UHF), BU (UHF), BT (BIII, FM and DAB).

NEO, offering the best gain on the market

ANTENAS NEO is the highest-quality range offered by ALCAD, with the best DTT channel reception and the best gain on the market (18 dBi). Designed to cover the UHF band up to 790 MHz, rejecting the LTE mobile telephone band. Easy to assemble and adjust, ensuring maximum strength and maximum safety during installation. Attractive design that perfectly reflects the excellent electrical and mechanical qualities of the antenna. Its most relevant applications are digital and analogue terrestrial TV installations of a communal or individual type, where rejection of the LTE band is necessary and high gain and directivity are required. The reflectors help avoid interference from the signals received from the back of the antenna.

      No need for tools.

    • Pre-amplifiers

Range of pre-amplifiers for UHF antenna, fed through the coax cable. As well as amplifying the signals, they adapt the antenna impedance from 300 ohm to 75 ohm. The noise figure is extremely low, so as to amplify signals without loss of quality.

      Applications

Terrestrial TV installations of an individual type, where the reception level is very weak. It is installed by replacing the antenna symmetriser, amplifying the signal before the installation’s attenuation can degrade it, obtaining the maximum possible signal-to-noise ratio.

    • Mechanical accessories

Wide variety of mechanical accessories for the installation of antennas such as turrets, masts, telescopic poles, arms, claws, cables, parabola supports and U-bolts.

      INSTALLATION EXAMPLES

      Installation of a turret

The turrets are assembled using several intermediate sections and an upper section. They are fixed to the ground with a turret base, and are reinforced with cords. The cords are fixed to the turret using cable ties and are tightened with tensors to ensure the turret is perfectly vertical. The base of the turret and the cord anchors should be fixed to concrete dies.

Installation of a mast on a roof

The masts are mounted using several sections that are fixed to the ground with a tile base, and reinforced with cords. The cords are fixed to the mast by means of an eyebolt for cords and cable ties, and tightened with tensors to ensure that the mast is perfectly vertical. The cord anchors must be fixed to the roof.

Installation of a mast on a chimney

A U-bolt makes it easy to install a mast on a chimney. The U-bolt is fixed to the chimney via a guy wire and cable ties. The edges of the chimney are protected from the erosion of the cable and the cable is tightened with the U-bolt tensor. The mast is attached to the U-bolt with the two clamps.

Installation of a mast on a wall

The masts are assembled using several sections and are fixed to the wall with two claws. The claws are attached to the wall via metal studs or embedded in the concrete, with a separation distance of one metre between them. The mast is fixed to the claws with the claw clamps.

Installation of a parabola on a terrace

The parabola is mounted on a base, which is fixed to the terrace by metal studs or using a parabolic base embedded in the terrace or in a concrete die.

  • SIGNAL PROCESSING

    SIGNAL PROCESSING

    • Amplifiers, mixers and mast filters

ALCAD has a wide range of broadband amplifiers for masts, compatible with emission of LTE mobile telephony signals with an amplification band within UHF 470 - 790 MHz. There are also a great variety of mixers and filters for masts that allow the signals from several antennas to be mixed via a single coaxial cable.

Some of the amplifiers include an LTE rejection filter. They have one, two, three, four or five configurable inputs, to amplify and combine the signals from the antennas.  They are fed through the coaxial cable from a feeder installed inside the building. They incorporate switchable current steps to accept the power of a pre-amplifier.

      Typical applications

Digital and analogue terrestrial TV installations of an individual type that may or may not be affected by the emission of LTE mobile telephony signals with low or high gain requirements. Amplifies and mixes signals arriving from various antennas. The signal obtained can be distributed to a large number of TV sockets through a single coaxial cable.

      INSTALLATION EXAMPLES:

Individual installations with mast amplifier or mixer

The mixer allows installation when signal reception levels are high. If the levels are not high or the installation has several TV outlets it will be necessary to use an amplifier and a feeder.

      Individual installations with mast amplifier

Installation with a UHF antenna and with an antenna pre-amplifier; the antenna pre-amplifier is used when the signal level is very low. To activate the power supply of the pre-amplifier, turn the current step switch ON. There are two sockets connected to the outputs of the feeder and a third socket connected to the -15 dB output of the amplifier.

      HEADMAST AMPLIFIER WITH EQUALISER FILTER

Headmast device for terrestrial TV comprising an equaliser filter and a broadband amplifier. Adjusting the attenuators of the equaliser filter equalises the levels of all the channels before amplification, meaning that the intermodulation in the broadband amplifier is reduced and a higher output level is obtained.

Headmast device for terrestrial TV comprising an equaliser filter and a broadband amplifier. Adjusting the attenuators of the equaliser filter equalises the levels of all the channels before amplifying, meaning that the intermodulation in the broadband amplifier is reduced and a higher output level is obtained. The amplifier automatically feeds UHF antenna pre-amplifiers.

      INDIVIDUAL INSTALLATIONS WITH HEADMAST AMPLIFIER

    Installation examples:

Individual terrestrial TV installation with amplifier and power amplifier mast used as a pre-amplifier. The pre-amplifier is fed from the amplifier. This configuration is suitable when the signal levels received are very weak.

    HEADMAST AMPLIFIER WITH STAR DISTRIBUTION

MATV terrestrial TV installation with headmast broadband amplifier. The gain of each amplifier input allows you to adjust the levels of each of the antennas. The distribution takes place in a star pattern using the two amplifier outputs and distributors. This type of distribution allows the maximum number of outlets at the expense of using more coaxial cable.

    HEADMAST AMPLIFIER WITH TREE DISTRIBUTION

MATV terrestrial TV installation with headmast broadband amplifier. The gain of each amplifier input allows you to adjust the levels of each of the antennas. The distribution takes place in a tree pattern using splitters. This type of distribution allows the signal levels to be balanced across all installations.

INDIVIDUAL INSTALLATIONS WITH TV-SAT HEADMAST AMPLIFIER

Individual terrestrial TV or satellite installation. The head amplifier is connected to a UHF antenna or an individual parabola, where signals are being received from several terrestrial TV antennas a mast mixer will be used. The LNB is powered and controlled from the individual receiver, through the amplifier.
