New Everest distribution amplifiers: what really matters is what's going on inside
29/07/2020
The new Everest distribution amplifiers are designed so you can squeeze all the juice out of them the moment you take them out of the box. Do not be fooled by its external appearance: made of zamak and galvanized steel plate to provide maximum shielding, the arrangement of its input and output connectors, on opposite sides, greatly facilitates its installation and saves space. Forget about everything you knew so far about amps - what really matters is what's going on inside.
We tend to think that oranges have to be round and strawberries, conical. But if we buy them for their flavour and properties... how important is their external appearance then? The same goes for the new Everest range of distribution amplifiers. The moment you touch them, the feel of their chassis tells us about their enormous resistance; if we investigate inside, its compact design conveys power and reliability.
Everest distribution amplifiers show their maximum potential in large collective installations of terrestrial TV and satellite IF, allowing the distribution of the IF band in sets of buildings or villas from a single SAT header. Its external power supply greatly facilitates its maintenance, while its lower heating compared to previous models increases its useful life.
The complete range includes the DA-601, DA-603, DA-611 and DA-613 models, with the following characteristics:
- Broadband amplifiers for both terrestrial TV (117 dBuV) and satellite (118.5 dBuV).
- Independent variable gain controllers and equalizers for the terrestrial part and the satellite part.
- It amplifies the return path from 5 to 65 MHz.
- It is powered by the FF-200 external power supply unit, included with the amplifier.
- The input and output tests allow checking and adjusting the installation without the need to disconnect the TV signal.
- Thanks to their compact size (15.6x13.9x3.6 cm), they will fit in any space.
- It has the Made in Spain guarantee and the CE certificate.
Everest by ALCAD: the top of the world multiband amplifier range
ALCAD conquered the market in 2018 with the launch of the Everest range of multiband amplifiers, a robust, versatile and easy-to-install product. With an output level of 117 dBμV and manufactured entirely in our factory in Irún (Gipuzkoa), our R+D team focused on creating a competitive product thought considering the needs of the installer.
To make everything easier, Everest multi-band amplifiers require no programmer or special tools, making it easy to get started. In addition, its compact size (15.6x13.9x3.6 cm) allows it to be started up in any space. The wide range consists of 3, 4 and 5 input amplifiers and up to 3 switchable gain UHF inputs with LTE 700 and LTE 800 filters. All this in a 100% metallic chassis which makes it an ideal element to withstand wear and tear from intensive use and the most adverse weather conditions.
Other notable advantages are safety and versatility. These multi-band amplifiers have a factory-integrated power supply and a second external power option. In this way, risks are reduced in the event of general breakdowns, such as severe storms, providing double safety in operation.
