The new himalaya modular headends by ALCAD are versatile, easy to configure and cost saving, as they can work with redundant power and be handled remotely. They are prepared to house up to 8 ALCAD himalaya transmodulators.
Its configuration allows the input of both satellite and terrestrial TV signals, and are perfectly prepared to regenerate the incoming signal, offering a powerful and quality output signal.
Our new himalaya modular headends stand out for their:

Up to 8 transmodulators and redundant power supply
The new himalaya modular headends have the capacity to house up to 8 TM-101, TM-111, TM-102 or TM-112 himalaya transmodulators. DVB-S / S2 satellite transponders or DVB-T / T2 terrestrial channels can be selected in these modules, to be then converted to DVB-T or DVB-C channels.
Likewise, TM-111 and TM-112 models incorporate a Common Interface slot for the CAM and the subscriber card for encrypted services. It can be configured from the web browser of a computer, tablet or smartphone connected via Wi-Fi or an ethernet network cable.
The PA-740 broadband amplifier has an input to amplify the signal coming from all the modules of the installation, and a multiplexing input for the rest of the channels of the installation. The output level can be controlled by means of an attenuator.
Finally, the headend is completed with a switched-mode FA-512 power supply that can be used to power a PA-740 amplifier and up to 8 modules. To avoid service interruption, an additional power supply can be added to the headend to provide redundant power with load sharing. This way, if one power supply were to fail, the other one can provide power to the whole headend.
