Individual TV installations
At the output of a mast amplifier, the signal is lower than at the input.
You must check the connections to the amplifier, ensuring especially that it is powered.
What advantages does TTD hold over existing analogue TV?
Interference ?snow? and intermodulation are eliminated. The advantages of DVD are obtained: digital image quality, 16:9 format, 5.1 sound, Internet, email and SMS messaging.
In an installation in which the headend is broadband, when there is an increase in the number of channels received in the area, the amplifier intermodulates.
The output level of the amplifier must be reduced as far as possible. Another solution may be to replace the broadband amplifier with a headend of monochannel amplifiers.
Close to one of my installations, there is a mobile telephone antenna, which causes a great deal of interference with the TV signal.
This interference can be eliminated by connecting an FL-100 rejection filter for GSM signals between the antenna and the headend.
In an individual installation with broadband amplification, there is interference from a channel on the UHF band which I do not want to distribute.
By using a rejection filter and adjusting its 4 filters, with a field meter, to the same channel, it is possible to attenuate the interference substantially.
What is the correct order of installation of antennas on a mast?
For the wind load produced by the mast to be as little as possible, the antennas must be installed in descending order of size (i.e. the largest installed first, the smallest installed last) and from the bottom of the mast to the top. The distance between antennas should be 1m.For example: the BIII antenna would be installed on the lowest part of the mast, followed by the UHF, with the FM at the top.
What is the minimum level necessary in the outlet for an individual TTD receiver to function?
The CODFM is from 45 to 70 dBµV.
